Toddler Bedding
You've got your bed, and now it's time for the lovely, varied toddler bedding. You can buy or make, such sweet bedding for children, cosy and perfect for snuggling into.
You and your toddler can choose pretty patterns or a particular theme, and make their bed personal and special so that your toddler feels good and happy in their own bed. If you chose a themed bed, such as a train or a castle, then you can either match the theme exactly e.g. more trains or compliment it with a plainer theme e.g. for the castle, pretty flowers or just plain pink bedding. There are different types of bedding available and here we'll show you the most common and popular items:
For boys: There is a huge variety of bedding for little boys such as trains, cars, sports, dinosaurs, or themes such as Thomas The Train, Bob the Builder and Elmo. For girls: There is Disney Princess, Dora the Explorer, Barbie bedding as well as a whole selection of flowers, butterflies in pinks and purples. Quantity: We suggest you have a least 3 sets of bedding: one set on the bed, one set washed and ready and one for emergency. Mishaps, accidents and upset tummies can cause havoc in the middle of the night and you want to always have a spare set of bedding to hand! Unfortunate, but true! Material: Bedding for children comes in all sorts of fabrics, from 100% pure cotton, flannel, fleece or a mixture of cotton and polyester. Some parents only select natural fabrics, such as cotton, which is soft on the skin and breathable. Some also prefer to buy unbleached fabric and organically grown. You can often buy matching fabric by the yard so if you wanted to coordinate other toddler furnishings, and you're handy with the sewing machine, then this might be a consideration for you. You may want to change the fabric of the bedding in different seasons. For example, you may want to opt for cotton in the hot summer months and a soft fleece in the winter months. Of course, be sure that whatever you choose is machine washable! Hand made silk and sequins would work just as a decorational throw but the actual bedding which is over or under your child needs to be practical. Purchasing bedding: You can buy bedding separately though buying sets may be cheaper. Prices vary considerably so check out a number of sources before buying. Toddler bedding can tick all the boxes: safe, practical, affordable and fun. Perfect for helping you and toddler get a good night's sleep!
