Toddler Recipes For Toddler Meals: Pasta with cherry tomatoes and cheeseThis is simple, tasty and healthy. Whilst the pasta is cooking you can prepare the other ingredients so it's very quick to prepare. This will make enough for 1 adult and 1 or 2 children. Some children are intolerant to tomatoes so watch out for redness or dryness around the lips.200g/8oz pasta shapes 1 tbsp of white wine vinegar 3 tbsp of olive oil a pinch of sugar a little ground pepper 1 tbsp chopped chives 100g/4ox cherry tomatoes, quartered 50g/2oz cheese (Gruyere works well), grated
1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions. 2. To make the dressing, mix the chives, vinegar, oil, sugar and pepper in a little bowl or shake in a lidded jar. 3. In a separate bowl, lightly mix together the tomatoes and cheese. 4. Serve a little cooked pasta onto a plate, add the tomato and cheese mixture and then pour over dressing over. 5. Toss to mix together. 6. Serve hot or cold. Toddler Recipes for Toddler Meals: Mini FishcakesThese mini fishcakes are also a great snack and finger food when cold. As a meal serve with chunky vegetable wedges or couscous and steamed vegetables. 300g/11oz potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes A knob of butter 400g/14oz canned salmon 1 shallot, or very small onion, finely chopped 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup A little seasoning A little flour A little olive oil
1. Boil the potatoes until tender. 2. Drain and mash in the butter. 3. Drain the can of salmon and add to the potatoes. 4. Add the onion, ketchup and seasoning. 5. Mix well. 6. Make little fishcakes by rolling a spoonful of mixture beween your hands and then flattening them slightly, 7. Dip them in flour. 8. Place on a plate and chill in the fridge for about 20 mins to firm. 9. Heat the oil in a frying pan. 10. Fry the fish cakes until golden on both sides Toddler Recipes for Toddler Meals: Simple Sweet and Sour ChickenYou can serve this lovely and simple chicken dish with rice and a green veg such as steamed broccoli or peas. 2 chicken breasts or pieces 1 tbsp apricot jam 1 tbsp mango chutney 2 tbsp mayonnaise 1 tsp worcestershire sauce 1 tsp lemon juice
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4. 2. Mix all sauce ingredients into a bowl. 3. Place the chicken in a small oven proof bowl. 4. Pour the sauce over the chicken. 5. Cover the dish wil foil. 6. Pop in the center of the oven for 30 minutes. 7. Whilst the chicken is cooking prepare the rice and greens. 8. Enjoy!
